Sue England
Award winning Sue England is an outstanding artist who was shortlisted for the Society of Women Artists Award 2014. This prestigious occasion was opened to great acclaim by Her Royal Highness, Princess Michael of Kent at the Mall Galleries on The Mall in London.
Sue competed with 50 other artists and won a wild card place in Sky's Landscape Artist of the Year of which she was an eventual finalist.
Born in Lancashire, she has had a varied career as an artist which included freelance work for English Heritage and the National Trust. She has also worked with author Elizabeth Newbery on various heritage themed publications for sites. Her work is exhibited widely.
Sue says: "In my painting, responding to the landscape is inevitable, but I also enjoy the unexpected beauty of the commonplace and ‘everyday’."
