Pure Evil
Charles Uzzell-Edwards, is a street and graffitti artist known by the moniker "Pure Evil". He is the son of the well known Welsh painter John Uzzell Edwards so grew up surrounded by art and artists. Uzzell-Edwards confesses that "having Pure Evil as a nickname is a bit of a joke, but it is a license to have fun with dark imagery. It reflects the darkness that is in the world right now. You cannot just ignore it and do a nice picture of a unicorn. Unless it’s a unicorn with a rocket launcher on its head".
In 2012, Pure Evil appeared on Lord Sugar's prime time BBC TV show The Apprentice, where he took part in an urban art task. He was also involved in Channel 4's "Four Rooms". This exposure led to a huge increase in interest for his work.
