Comment: Charles Uzzell-Edwards, is a street and graffiti artist known by the moniker "Pure Evil". He is the son of the well known Welsh painter John Uzzell Edwards so grew up surrounded by art and artists. Uzzell-Edwards confesses that "having Pure Evil as a nickname is a bit of a joke, but it is a license to have fun with dark imagery. It reflects the darkness that is in the world right now. You cannot just ignore it and do a nice picture of a unicorn. Unless it's a unicorn with a rocket launcher on its head".
In 2012, Pure Evil appeared on Lord Sugar's prime time BBC TV show The Apprentice, where he took part in an urban art task. This exposure led to a huge increase in interest for his work.
QE2EU Brexit Nightmare, Pure Evil's expression of disappointment for the UK's vote to leave the EU is typical of his striking and unforgettable, yet beautiful, style.
The artist commented "When I woke up to the news that the UK had voted to leave the EU I felt like I was making up to a nightmare, I decided to make some art to show how I felt about it".
